Citrus Growers Association extends its deepest condolences to the family of

Our National Hero, the late Right Honourable, George Cadle Price

It is with deep sadness that the Citrus Growers Association of Belize extends its condolences to the family of our National Hero, the late Right Honourable, George Cadle Price. We join all Belizeans and friends of Belize in mourning the passing of the Father of our Nation and the chief architect of the liberty and freedom we now enjoy as Belizeans. As we embrace Mr. Price’s legacy and reflect on his vision for us as a people and as a nation, let us not forget his goal of uplifting the spirit and the lives of the Belizean people. As he said in one of his many speeches, “Our people should do more, know more and have more in order to be more.” In discussing the balance between light and darkness Mr. Price always reminded us that with Independence came the spoils of opportunity but that we must share the spoils to ensure the light is not overtaken by the darkness.

Belize has lost its National Hero in being but his spirit lives on in all of us as we try to achieve his embodiment of the Belizean identity. Rest in
peace, Mr. Price.
