Growers who need assistance in solving a grove management problem should contact CREI and request a farm visit from one of our staff members experienced in citrus agronomy. A main focus of our work is to increase citrus production through the implementation of improved soil management and fertilizer practices.
Our staff can provide assistance to growers in many areas. These include issues such as fertilizing, soil management, weed control and working with growers to help them decide when is the best time to harvest fruit so that they will recieve maximum returns for fruit delivered to the factory.
The Extension Unit also conducts informative workshops for growers and implements training sessions for field staff or managers on topics that farm owners request. Advertisements will be posted for these activities in the media and on this website.
