Laboratory and Screenhouse Technician - Belize Citrus Improvement Programme
CGA has a vacancy for a hard working person to assist in carrying out serological, molecular and biological laboratory analysis for the detection of citrus diseases. This task is part of a citrus improvement programme to supply high quality healthy propagative material to the Belize citrus industry.

Members of the Citrus Growers Association are hereby notified that the 42nd Annual General Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, June 19th 2010 at 9:30 a.m. at CGA Compound at Mile 9 Stann Creek Valley Road.
Citrus Growers are informed that Second Payment for Oranges will be made on Thursday, July 15, 2010.
The estimated final price is $1.5523 per pound solid (Pps) or $9.0557 per box using the factory's weighted average yield of 5.8337 ps/box. The second payment to growers for Oranges delivered will be $0.2694 per pound solid net of the deduction for the Pound Solids Lab ($0.2744 - $0.0050).
The Citrus Research and Education Institute (CREI) in collaboration with the Belize Agricultural Health Authority (BAHA) and the International and Regional Organization of Plant and Animal Health (OIRSA) cordially invite you to attend a meeting to discuss modification to the existing mandatory Belize Citrus (nursery) Certification Programme Regulations (BCCP). These modifications will deal with the threat of Huanglongbing (HLB) (ex greening) disease.
